Since 1993, Stephen H. Cohen has practiced law in New York in the U.S. Eastern and Southern Districts. Mr. Cohen has a Bachelor of Science from SUNY Oswego and a Juris Doctor from Touro College of Law.

He has appeared as a guest lecturer on legal television programs and spoken at seminars on the New York State Workers’ Compensation Law. He belongs to the NYSBA, Queens County Bar Association, and IWBA.

Stephen defended insurance companies and large self-insureds while working at a prominent liability defense company. After a number of years defending insurance companies and major self-insureds, Stephen formed the workers’ compensation division of his company.

In 1997, Stephen joined Bangel & Cohen, LLP as a founding member, representing insurance carriers and large self-insureds in workers’ compensation cases. He saw that his tough negotiating and litigation skills might benefit injured workers. Stephen is highly esteemed and diligently serves his clientele.
