Anthony Espo | Gym Trainer

Anthony Espo is a Brooklyn native. Anthony is his kid with Joanne, his high school sweetheart. Anthony was a very active child, playing baseball, basketball, football, racing bicycles at 10, studying martial arts at 12, and exercising daily.

At 10, he delivered newspapers. In his parents’ basement, he trimmed his friends’ hair to get money. After school, he worked at Bay Ridge Bikes, which he later took over at 24.
Until 2019, Anthony sold and promoted bicycles. His mother died of cancer in 2009. This drove him to succeed in the health and fitness industry.

This prompted him to continue in health and fitness and launch Bad Ass Academy in 2013. He’s a trainer and cofounder. He believes strong leaders show you how to do things together. Anthony stands out because of his passion and ability to connect with members and others. As he gains from health and fitness, he wanted to share his knowledge with others. He wants to make people healthy and happier via fitness.

Anthony competes in several fitness contests. He was nominated for LLS Man Of The Year in 2020 to help the Leukemia Lymphoma Society raise money. You Cannot Fail, Boomer Esiason Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, LLS Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, American Cancer Society, Relay For Life, school charities, and fundraisers are among his other foundations.

Throughout the year, he attends and conducts several community events. Guest speaking, seminars, lectures, and workshops on motivation, inspiration, health, fitness, nutrition, and self defense are Anthony’s specialties. NBC Sports, MSG Network, YES Network, Industry Magazine, PIX11, Channel 12, and BRIC Media have interviewed Anthony on fitness and living a healthier lifestyle. WAHOOS iN Life is by Anthony. WAHOOS means We All Have Our Own Shit iN Life. He wrote WAHOOS iN Life for motivation and self-help. Besides health and fitness, he wanted to reach people.

“If I can persuade people to exercise, get them healthier, and feel better about themselves, then I have done my job,” adds Anthony. He finds fulfillment in people’s physical, mental, and emotional growth. The praises he receives and the lives he changes through fitness are merely bonuses to him.
