It’s no secret that Rudy’s Bar & Grill in New York is a legendary dive bar. It is owned and operated by the Rudy family and is known for its unique wooden door. The Rudy’s porcine mascot is well-known, and interestingly, it was taken twice before we fastened his enormous butt down.

 

Rudy’s bar opened in 1933. It was one of NYC’s first liquor licenses after prohibition. Jack started drinking at Rudy’s in 1943, when Hell’s Kitchen was really Hell’s Kitchen.

Rudy’s is a famous New York City pub with a colorful past. Jack’s stories. Rudy’s has its original wood door. Cheap beer and complimentary hot dogs give it the sense of an old neighborhood bar.

Several movies, like “State of Grace,” have been shot there, and it is a welcoming environment for younger generations.
